Sounds like a beginning or the end of a battle to me. Just my thoughts when i closed my eyes and pictured it. It is more a end of the battle where victory was won.

You should really look into getting a record out there. You may be surprised at the response you get. Who knows what will happen. If i knew how to make flash i have a great idea for a short series of movies for this.

This sure does sound like it would be good in a RPG game. Maybe not a forest area, but maybe a world map.
